Minnesota and St. Thomas tied with just over 4 to play.
Thank you. So, if I’m reading CHN correctly, Minnesota won in OT 6-5 on a Snuggerud goal? :-) Top 5 worst win ever.

He wins it for Minnesota in Overtime, as the Gophers sneak by St. Thomas 6-5.

Is the NCAA still doing a 55/45 split for OT W/L for Pairwise purposes?

According to CHN, you are correct:

Can't say I like that a 3x3 OT win counts as 2/3 of a win. Preferred the 55/45 split.

I need an explanation on an "Illegal Substitution" penalty that was called on NMU tonight. What seems to have happened was an NMU payer was (cleanly) knocked into the UMD bench and it seems NMU executed a change with the player in the UMD bench, lol.

That was a first for me, lol.

Interesting...I believe the rule does require the player leaving the ice to leave to their own bench before the oncoming player can leave the bench. But, I've never seen that play out in the context as happened with NMU this evening.

#7 North Dakota wins the Icebreaker with a 2-0 victory over Wisconsin. The last three times North Dakota has played in the Icebreaker, the winner of the tournament went on to win the NCAA Tournament (2015 - North Dakota; 2011 - Boston College; 2008 - Boston University). Here's to that streak extending to four! : D
