the video shows how bad it was. He skates up to bench and spears snuggerud right in front of linesman who promptly bodyslams him.
it was premeditated and unhinged which is why I wonder if he gets more games. Even rohlik looked speechlessCornell University

I can't believe the USHL or rather the organizations that get fed by players from the USHL allow fighting. Unreal.Code:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

Roger. I didn't even know what happened until after they had announced it. We can barely hear the PA announcements where we sit.Code:As of 9/21/10: As of 9/13/10: College Hockey 6 College Football 0 BTHC 4 WCHA FC: 1

UAA continues to confound. They can pick up wins against Penn State, Wisconsin, and Providence but can’t come close to beating UAF. So frustrating.U-A-A!!!Go!Go!GreenandGold!

In recent weeks the debate/discussion over moving NCAA playoff games away from the regional format and back to campus rinks of the lower seed has sort of re-ignited. Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald wrote a piece advocating for campus sites and Adam Wodon of College Hockey News responded with his argument in favor of the regionals. I think these two have squared off over this issue for years, so that isn't really news.
However, there seems to be at least a small amount of momentum in favor of going back to campus, so there continues to be a lot of podcast debate about the subject. I only bring this up because last night I listened to Adam Wodon's podcast for CHN in which he interviewed both the Sacred Heart coach and David Carle of Denver.
I think Wodon may have been a bit surprised by the Sacred Heart coach expressing a strong desire to go back to campus. But the interesting interview was Carle.
Wodon knew Carle was strongly in favor of campus sites, so Wodon was ready to debate him on it. He knows Carle as someone who is very professional and is not going to get mean or nasty about it.
I'm no Carle fan, even though I acknowledge he is a terrific coach. He just oozes too much DU arrogance for my taste. But he absolutely eviscerated Wodon last night. It was sort of surprising because Wodon has been debating coaches and media types on this issue for years, so he is not a novice on the subject. It was something to behold.
I know the gopher podcast guys are going to have Wodon on to debate the topic in a few weeks, and maybe even have Schlossman on with them. I'm pretty sure the GPL folks are pro-campus sites. I hope Schlossman and the GPL guys catch Carle's interview beforehand, because it was a masterclass.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.
