    • MN maybe should have hit the portal.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

      • I think they do if Cooley signed right away, or at least changed his mind earlier. Pretty clear they need another defenseman too, though.

Could be Motzko is letting these inexperienced defensemen take their lumps early in hopes they figure things out. Only way you justify some of these guys being out there late in a rivalry game. It’s happened before, we’ll have to wait and see.

        • UAA scored six goals.

          On the road.

          Against a B1G team.

          And won.

I don't really know what to think.

The independent teams are good this year. They really are. I watched Augie in the 3rd period against DU and they gave DU everything they could handle and more.

                    • I'm preparing to pull a seat and a bottle up to the F* Hockey table... Just once I'd like NMU to hit the ground running.

Being a team that historically peaks late season is nice, but I'd like to occasionally cash in on preseason hype...
It's never too early to start the Pre-game festivities

Seeing them in person this weekend is frustrating. (Made a quick getaway for the weekend.) Slow, uninspired, uncoordinated, can't pass, can't hit, more turnovers than Babycakes. It's.... something.

When a friend at the game was catching me up (we hadn't been to a game in a few years) and said the same, I commented "oh, so it's like nothings changed." He laughed, sighed, and said yep.
