        • The Lions suck really bad, sure. But the refs don't need to help the struggling Packers to win a game like they have- the number of completely missed holding is stunning.

Thankfully, Aaron is sucking so bad that even the refs could not help out enough to win.

The Lions are 8 games into this season, and are a half game back from the Packers. Stick a fork on him (and odd joke from another board in another time)

And given the results elsewhere, a 4.5 game lead in the NFC North. Of course, the Vikings have a very difficult stretch coming up: at Buffalo, then Cowboys (likely in Primetime), Patriots (last win against New England was in 2000), and Jets all at home.

Fair turnaround. The last couple of years, they've lost a lot of games by 3 pts or less or on the last possession. Better coaching and odds.

Still think Cousins is too timid a soul for them to win deep, though.

                          • Earlier this season, Brady was asked about the quality of play, and he mentioned it was pretty bad. Yea, you are pretty bad. This LA-TB game is really, really, really poorly played. There have been some decent defense- sure. But the number of really poorly passed balls for both Brady and Stafford- holy cow. And just as bad, the dropped passes- the game just hit the 2 min warning, and two plays ago, a TB receiver dropped the ball when it was in his face. Game winning miss.

brady missed on 4th and goal with 2 min left- this game was so good, there was one TD- a long throw between Stafford and Cupp- and 5 FGs. Terrible game. From the two previous SB winners. How can these two get this bad that fast?

Like a decent car race, the best part is at the end- somehow brady wins the game.

BTW, for the ones who enjoy history and records- in spite of how poorly this game was played, Brady went over 100,000 yards passing. Making Drew Brees' 85k look small.

                            • Short of really substantial rule changes I don't see anyone beating Brady's record (whatever it ends up being).

                              Hat tip to him!
