  • That was a fun game to watch. Pretty clearly the fumble, scoop and score was the difference in the game. Turnovers are still the truest indicator of who will win a Super Bowl, and that was a pretty huge play, even though it happened relatively early. That and what I though was excellent play by the KC offensive line. Pretty much didn't hear Reddick's or Fletcher Cox' name all night.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

    • WRT the holding call- if that happened just a moment later, when the ball was in the air- it would have been pass interference. And then the discussion would have become could he have caught it. And it's pretty fair to say it was overthrown.

That and the punt return - just can’t happen.
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

Still, 11 out of 57 is not that common. Especially in this century.
It was clearly because even the NFL believes football began when Tom Brady joined.

            • Eric Bieniemy taking the OC job in Washington since he can't even get HC interviews anymore in KC since Andy Reid is the primary playcaller and gets all the credit.

Yeah I mean I'm the resident Commanders fan and I'm confused as hell by that career move. I guess since Rivera is a defense guy he'll get full run of the offense, but man, that's going to be a step down in quality from Mahomes to, well, almost anyone else.

                    • I'm still mourning my AAF Birmingham Iron.

Might try to catch a couple USFL Panthers games this year, but every time I tuned in last year they were down double digits. At least they'll be playing in Detroit this year. I think the Pittsburgh team is too.

They're not a fan of barely mediocre NDSU quarterbacks either.

                              • So, wait. He took out a loan on the team without knowledge of the minority owners? I can see against their wishes -- the virtue of majority ownership. But without telling them sounds super duper Dump-level illegal.
