The NFL fined Patriots quarterback Mac Jones $10,609 for unsportsmanlike conduct during last week’s loss to the Bills, according to a report from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.After Bills defensive end A.J. Epenesa sacked Jones on a third-down play with 2:43 remaining, Jones flipped the ball at Epenesa, who was standing next to the referee. Jones was not flagged on the play, which led to a Patriots field goal.
Earlier in the same drive, Bills safety Damar Hamlin drilled Jakobi Meyers in the end zone and concussed him. While the hit drew an unnecessary roughness penalty, Hamlin was only fined $4,806 on Saturday, per ESPN.A bad cause requires many words.Comment
