Still plenty of season left. Can't give it up on the first date.
    Let's Go Broncos!

    • Bit of a rant here, the B1G do a bunch of streaming on peacock. Being an Xfinity customer, and that bring part of NBC, I figured I could still stream peacock, and the game.

Not any more. Either I have to pay peacock to subscribe, or pay more to Xfinity to get more streaming stuff. No thanks.

Hope they don’t make me pay to listen to the game.

I dunno, it's what I read and there is none for ND-TSU.

          • Sad FG alert as time expires by East Carolina to avoid a shutout at Michigan

Closer to 30, actually. Idaho played NIU in the D1aa playoffs a few times in the 80s. I think they went the same time Idaho and bozo state jumped.

If there’s a state to mix that up on it’s Illinois. All the other directionals plus Illinois State are FCS.

I think Michigan might be the only other state with that many directionals that host football, but NMU is D2.

I tried looking it up but it’s surprisingly hard to pin down a year. I found an article from their website that mentioned moving to university level in 1970, but that might’ve been their move to D1, not necessarily what is now FBS. That 70s and 80s period is odd trying to read up on history. Seems like there were conferences that had split membership between college/university and D1/D2 for a period.

However, I think you may also be mixing them up with another directional. It says they went to their first D1A bowl in 1983 due to winning the MAC, which they’d been in since ‘74. It looks like Eastern Illinois played Idaho in the 80s in the playoffs.

Speaking of the Vandals it looks like they’re on the upswing after struggling for a few years during the transition. Preseason #8

Tell you the truth I knew nothing about them; just assumed they were *re-reads your reply* FCS.

You are correct. Not sure why I mixed the two schools.

Last year was a revelation being pretty solid getting to the playoffs. Now expectations are
much higher. It kind of showed the hole the previous coaches dig for the team since it took just one to turn them around from a long time of losing. The only good thing of moving to d1 was going 3-0 in bowl games. Even bozo st is really struggling, financially.

My interesting Boise budget story is that they cut wrestling in 2017 to add a baseball program. The team’s first season was 2020 which was obviously cut short. Then they cut the baseball team due to revenue reductions from COVID. Now, maybe wrestling would’ve been cut during COVID, but it’s crazy to me they spent three years investing in a program just to eliminate it after a quarter season.
