Looks like hurricane Ian will be visiting my area later this week. Although, depending on track we may see reduced impact.

The farther west it stays, the better!

You get an amen from here in Indialantic (beach town off of Melbourne)! Took a turn toward the worse for us overnight, but still just looking like 5-6 inches of rain over a couple of days and 30 mph winds. Not much by FL standards - only issue is that we didn't have a hurricane last year, so there may be more dead/unhealthy trees around and 30 mph may be enough to knock out some power lines.
If you don't change the world today, how can it be any better tomorrow?

Water is already over the sea wall in Key West. Storm surge here will peak at 2-4 feet. Highest wind gusts could range 60-70mph tonight.

Fortunately my grandfather is in Michigan right now, because his house in FL is right on the Myakka River, which forms part of Charlotte Harbor.

Tampa will likely be OK given the new path. Low tide is at 10:40 am. But, Sarasota, and Fort Meyers may get ALL of that water.

Based on where that eyewall is headed, agreed. Not looking good. Probably the maximum forecasted storm surge headed that way.
