I can't disagree with any of this.

I'm going to have to take your word for it. I saw one post where someone speculated that more people had Sic on ignore than me. I guess that could be construed as praise.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Exactly. Give me the obviously stupid mother****ers like MTG. If moderates/centrists vote for him or her in purple districts, much less blue states like Maryland, we are so, so ****ed anyways.

You forgot mandatory Drag Queen Story Hour for toddlers, CRT teaching white kids that they are inherently racist, woke Disney portraying gay characters in content for children, punishing children who don't keep their mask on at school, and all the other Fox/Breitbart/OANN/Alex Jones herp-a-derp of the week. You know, real fascism, which btw is actually a left-wing ideology because the word "socialist" was right there in the Nazi Party's full name! ;-)

No, most liberals (or anyone with a pulse) knew he was dangerous. The Dems only started supporting the idea because they thought the rest of the GOP would turn on him (which they didn't despite his attacks on them) and honestly he could barely finish a sentence. My brain still hurts from being in a room with him and listening to his bullchit...

Not to mention you are comparing local elections to the Presidential which is apples and oranges. Let's use psych's example in Maryland...all the Dem has to do is win the majority which is easier now than it would be with the other candidate. In that case it makes sense to help the crackpot win proven by the fact that Hogan is ticked off about it and fears it cost them the office. If Presidential Elections were held like state elections Hillary wins and the country isn't teetering on the brink...

It isn't always a good idea, but it is a great idea when targeted at the right candidates. The GOP used it in spades in 2020 and many Russian states have been doing it forever...though both the Russians and GOP (is that repetitive) take it a step further and pay a guy to run as a fake candidate when they need to.
