  • What a game! Ohtani leads off with a double, Yoshida gets walked to make it first and second with no outs, and Murakami walks it off with a double for a 6-5 Japan win.

USA vs Japan tomorrow at 7 for the championship. 8am first pitch in Japan. Will love to see their viewership numbers.

    • That was awesome. No runs through six and down by three, Japan scores three in the seventh, one in the eighth, then two in the ninth.

      • I'm just excited to see Mike Trout and Ohtani play meaningful baseball for a change.

It was either the Colombia or Venezuela game they mentioned this was his first tournament baseball since 2014. Granted he’s had some injuries, but c’mon guys. What are we doing over there. I know you need to compete with the Astros but even the Mariners have managed a playoff appearance since then.

It’s like finding out Ted Williams only played in one World Series.

            • It's too bad this game is stuck on FS1. Of course if Fox could've known it would be Japan-USA it might've been moved to the network.

Trout gets on with a bloop double here in the top of the 1st.

                  • Well, that lead didn't last long. Murakami follows up his walk-off double with a massive HR to the second deck in right center. 1-1 bottom 2

                            • After four crushed fouls (including one that went into the last row of the third deck in right field) Schwarber nails a solo HR to make it 3-2 Japan with 1 out in the 8th.

If the score holds, we could end up with Ohtani vs Trout with two outs in the 9th...
