Furthermore I'd say Oakland doesn't count as a major league team.

Domingo German threw the 24th perfect game in history against Oakland last night in an 11-0 win. First one in 11 years since King Felix threw his in 2012.

    9 innings, 0 H, 0 BB, 9 K, 99 pitches

TCU/Va in the elimination game at 2. The nightcap at 7 has ORU/Fla and the loser of that game playing the winner of the 1st game on Tues.

On a related note, to get to Omaha, Stanford had to defeat Texas.
    - 2 outs, bottom of the 9th, they thought they had a HR but it went off the wall, even though the batter threw his helmet and the team started to come on the field, but he safely made it to second: https://twitter.com/TreyWallace_/sta...63787861475328
    - On the next play, Texas lost a popup in the lights, it dropped, runner from second scored: https://twitter.com/TreyWallace_/sta...64646720815104

Real good games yesterday. Fla with a walk-off in the 9th. TCU with 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to take a 5-3 lead, ORU with 4 in the top of the 9th, TCU strands 2 in the bottom of the 9th to end their 11 game streak.

Putting aside what played out after my analogy...

Seems like more of a "Let them eat cake" kind of moment. It's not going change the course of the team one picoarcsecond. They had 15+ years to build a not ****hole stadium and actually attend games.
