In a world where the Pro Bowl has turned into flag football and the NBA ASG is now first to 200, it was great to see teams care enough that Dusty Baker challenged two calls.

It’s always been a marketing stunt.

You’re just upset because it’s no longer a marketing stunt aimed at your demographic.

I know back in the day the All Star Selection was run by like some furniture polish company.

    But this was amazing:

I heard. But nope. Nope nope nope.

TBH I was going to watch but then remembered it was a national broadcast. If I have something pretty to look at OK I will endure that, but not for this dystopic marketing future.

They even managed to mess up player intros for the ASG. Apparently it was too boring to have them come out from the dugout and lineup on the baselines. Now they make them run on a red carpet from center field and it takes five times as long.

I don't actually mind the jerseys this year, though it would be infinitely better if they wore their own. But if you're not going to go with grey pants for the NL, why are you giving them black pants with a navy jersey instead of going mono-navy.

Ohtani more or less signals he will be leaving the Angels after this season. Recently insiders have been saying he could pull up to $600 million in free agency.

The AL Central is such a disaster. The Tigers are ten games under .500 at 39-49 and only 5.5 games back. The Marlins are 13 games over and 9.5 back.
