    • Dylan Cease has a no-no through 5. The last thing we need is the White Sox throwing a no-hitter.

Eta: and it's gone. I feel like I'm the reason. So, good on me!

Too bad about the Staten Island Ferry Hawks. Hopefully they'll win a game before the season ends!

Three of them are the 2020, 2021, and 2022 New York Mets.

Maybe they should stop crowding the plate. Bob Gibson or Nolan Ryan would keep plunking them (even when Ryan played for them...).

The thing is, this has come under two different managers and three different hitting coaches. We aren't unduly crowding the plate. It's... weird.

I think it's SSS. I see no reason why we'd be headhunted -- it's not retaliatory (our pitchers' HBP are average) and it's not an attempt to neutralize us (we've been meh during most of the period).

Gibson would kill any hitter active today. He would see the body armor and think, "challenge accepted."

Maybe they're just not good at dodging inside pitches. Might be time for the manager to walk into the clubhouse with his tool box. "If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball."
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Sounds like it doesn’t because he won’t be paid for the next 324, whereas he was still paid while on administrative leave.
