  • In their 141 year history, the Phillies have never won a game 7.

Surprisingly, last night was the first one they've played in.

    • The Phillies are > 1000 games under .500. The Mets are just 300 in almost half the games. A dominant decade and we could actually get back to .500 -- the Dodgers are +359 from 2014-2023.

        • In my bullet proof analysis I have the Diamondbacks beating the Rangers because the DBacks swept the Tigers, when the Rangers were 4-2. Sorry, it is science.

          • Why the hell would they even think about pitching to Adolis Garcia much less doing it.

Its not fake. They won it playing under the same rules as everyone else. But it should have a great big asterisk next to it, that's for sure.

It's still fake. It's not that they faked a win in a real season. They won a fake season.

                  • Rangers win in five. Likely to be the lowest watch series. Games 1 and 5 were interesting. The rest were snoozers.

“Retires” doesn’t feel right. I know it is the word that’s been used, but something is fishy.

                        • I didn't watch or have much interest in the World Series but am happy Nate Eovaldi got another ring and I do like that a team that has never won a World Series finally won one.

                          • I'm excited to see a new pbp person for the Twins. I actively avoided home broadcasts because of Bremer and nearly every color commentator they rotated through.

I like Bochy winning with another team, the same team he beat for his first ring. Beyond that, meh. Will be interesting to see if Ted Cruz now pretends he's a Rangers fan and tries to join the parade; he got pretty upset when his daughter switched teams.
