400+ LEOs responded and not one of them did anything. Imagine 400+ plumbers, welders, an electrician, foremen, and supers showing up to fix a toilet leak and then billing you OT only to have your basement flood. Why don't we expect more from our LEOs?

Who better to serve in government than someone who thinks that if you need more money, just print more?

You seem to know so much about me ... that just isn't so. (<-- paraphrased and stolen from Reagan)

I've had more than a cup of coffee with the county sheriff pushing him on why he's pulled all the deputies back to reside in the county seat. There used to be deputies living in outlier towns in the county. Response time was better (it's just under an hour drive diagonally across the county). Community interaction was better. And the trucks (and kids) on the highways drove slower. The old way was more effective. He claimed it was to "save cost". I scoffed as I know rents are higher in the county seat and the sheriff's fuel budget went up after the change. And it has to mean more time holding a steering wheel, less time interacting in the communities and county schools. (I'm guessing that's what the deputies' desired outcome was and was accomplished.)

PS - He's the guy that told my friend who lives 45 minutes from the SO, after the change, to buy a shotgun (with specificity). Awesome.

I can both demand more from the cops and defend myself.

That the people we've put in positions of authority and responsibility are worthless is a horrible, pathetic justification to allow effectively unfettered access to tools that kill 45,000+ Americans per year.

Sure, arm everyone. ORRR.... get police to do their ****ing jobs.

Because the cops can't/didn't/won't defend her, she shouldn't be able to defend herself.

I love that our resident gun fellating ****wit is saying she should have had a gun. You know who had guns? THE PUZZY COPS WHO IGNORED THE ISSUE!

Man their job is tough...it takes a lot of effort to let people die like this and find excuses for it.

Oh, absolutely! I’m not saying that’s *actually* why they own AR-15s…..just that it’s the argument they make.

Or the police could do what we pay them billions for. They're paying cops in my hometown $65,000 if they manage to not get fired in their first 2 years. And you can still afford to buy a house in St. Joe County Indiana, the cost of living is quite affordable. That's what my sister, a teacher for decades now, makes in the state of Indiana. And I guarantee she has done more good as a teacher in the last year than most cops will do in a 30 year career.
