        • Stranger Things Season 4...just kill the Eleven Storyline she sucks, Millie Bobbie Brown sucks, and the whole "she is an outsider and but she and Mike are in love and Mike is fighting with his friends" side story makes it almost unwatchable. Good god...

The Nightmare on Elm Street homage storyline is great, and literally every other character is good...but Mike and El need to go away.

So far (3 episodes in...btw 1.5 hour episodes is stupid) it is still better than last season though so there is that.

          • Yeah, the way they've stretched some episodes out to near feature film length (75-90 mins) is definitely a complaint of mine. I don't have a problem with MBB per se, but the story only needs one romance plot line and it's definitely not the two of them and their annoying emo teenager puppy love. In the second half I'm hoping they get Joyce and Hopper out of Russia and home so they can finally bang.

              • Stranger things got better towards end but handy is right. I loved the elm street stuff, and find myself wanting to focus more on Steve and hopper storylines

the season finale is 2.5 hours. Just insane how they structured it

I would rather Joyce hook up with Murray ;^)

Steve, Robin and Dustin are the best characters on the show and it isn't really close. I like what is being done with Lucas even if it is 100% every lame teen cliche ever...that is the stuff that made Stranger Things cool the cliches! MBB is a horrible actress but at least when they were kids it worked well. Now they are turning her into the "Ugly Duckling" pastiche from 90s teens films and it just doesn't fit. They would have been better off making it a lame love triangle with Will. (which would have sucked but hey at least it kind of fit)

Shout out to Eddie, another character that outshines most of the stars and is built 100% on cliches and owns every one of them!

                  • I think MBB is great, but I hate the story arc for her this season after the move to CA.

I could take or leave Mike through S3 but he and Will have added nothing to S4 at all. Hell if they cut Will no one would notice. Argyle is also a waste of time.

Joyce, Murray, Steve, Robin, Dustin, Eddie, and Lucas' little sister (sorry forget her name) have been great.

I honestly was annoyed with the Hopper bit this season even though Harbour is great in the role.

They've managed to maintain the charm imho and have skated the edge of jumping the shark but haven't gone over the line quite just yet.

I have, too, and I agree. Obi-Wan looks skittish after having taken measures to blend in with the rest of society, and that makes him [fill in blank here] when he has trouble with various things.

                              • I've been trying to avoid spoilers but we actually turned Stranger Things off mid episode 2 it was so bad. Maybe it's just played out. Disappointment for me. I enjoyed all the prior seasons, and didn't join the pile on of last season which was just fine. But man they stepped in a gopher hole this season.

OTOH, 4 episodes in holy sh-t Pistol is great. The only thing I'd change is much less of the relationship of Steve and Chrissie. They are both dynamite characters but together they become trite and TBH not genuine.

They actually did film the only believable sex scene I have ever seen, in any media, including (especially) porn, though, so there's that. I mean enough so I wondered whether they just said **** it.

Dude playing Malcolm is just as great as he was in Queen's Gambit (though it is a similar character). I love the guy playing Johnny so far. Sid's coming in next episode so we'll see.
