We've also watched the first two episodes of Mare of Easttown on HBO. It's been good so far, but I fear it might try to become too clever for its own good. We'll see.
Both have been on my to-watch list. Thanks for validating to at least give them a go.

                    • Debris has been interesting. I love sci-fi mind benders and it has that even though it's your typical "network" type show.

It's ok, but every week there's a completely different debris 'effect' that doesn't as of yet have any tie-in to anything that's happened previously. I don't mind waiting for a payoff, but this smells of end of season plot holes. I hope I'm wrong.

It will be a typical end of season payoff with a huge plot hole and cliffhanger for next season if next season even happens. It's the way of network TV.

I don't mean a cliffhanger - I expect that. What I mean though is every week's new debris event reflects no relationship to any previous event. Imagine if you dropped a five pound weight waist high onto your lawn and on Drop 1 it landed and stuck, Drop 2 it disappeared, Drop 3 it formed into the shape of a bucket, Drop 4 it turned into steam... So far there's been zero symbiosis.

It all will mean something in the end I would imagine. But, if it doesn't it was fun trying to figure it out.............LOL.
