My thoughts: They seemed to leave a bit of hope for the Mossbacher family outside of the son deciding to stay behind, but I was perplexed by Rachel coming back to Shane claiming she was fine only to still look depressed when they hugged. Well, I think that is left to the imagination. It's a limited series that has now been announced as an anthology series for season 2. So these characters are done. I agree.
