This is the first time in a while that I've genuinely looked forward to a TV show (The Last of Us) all week. I've looked forward to premieres but have mostly been let down. the last one where I can't wait all week was probably Mandalorian.

Pedro gave it his all, and the pre-recorded sketches, especially Mario, were great. The live sketches writing was pretty bad until the last couple. I dunno, maybe I have to admit I'm too old for the "here's what young people talk like and talk about" ones.Originally posted by Kepler View Post

I thought the live skits were actually more hit than miss, but I think we can agree there isn't a more annoying band/frontman than Coldplay/Christ Martin. jfc dial back just once trying to create the next epic anthem, and the annoying color coordination and now they have a mascot? And I love their first album Parachutes.Comment

We've been watching it regularly again for the last 3 years after not watching it for about 20. It's very uneven but the thing is even in the Golden Age and Silver Age, it was uneven. It's the nature of SNL. And then it is also uneven week to week because some hosts (Mulaney, Lizzo, Martin & Short, Pascal) are excellent while some (Teller, Harlow, Palmer, Butler) are lame.Originally posted by Deutsche Gopher Fan View Post
Dr. Mrs jokes that there is an A team and B team of writers who alternate by week, because some weeks the skits seem to be unfathomably terribly written, while others are excellent.
