My point is, if they have a tiebreaker that can be used that isn't a coin flip, use it. Record against the remaining teams seems like a perfectly reasonable tiebreaker.

The Rays are definitely the "best" of the awful options on the AL side. I would rather eat tar than see the White Sox back in the World Series. The Yankees and Red Sox are about as boring as it gets, and the Astros are cheaters.
