My favorite is the Arkansas School for the Deaf. They are the Leopards. The Deaf Leopards.

(Yes, they were the Leopards since like the 40s but still a hilarious coincidence)

      • MadBum throws a no-hitter in game 2 of a DH, but it’s not an official no-hitter since it’s only seven innings.

              • The Angels game tonight will be the first time since Babe Ruth that the MLB leader in home runs will also be a starting pitcher.

                Fark the DH.

Despite being a straight nine proponent, isn’t this a fact in favor of the DH? It’s a couple months shy of exactly 100 years since it previously happened. While cool, not exactly showing off the batting prowess of pitchers over the last century.

                    No.

In any case, there never need be -- nor can there be -- any empirical evidence for or against the proposition of the DH. The DH is a moral crime, and you cannot derive an ought from an is.

I think it's really an argument to never let him pitch again so he doesn't miss any more seasons.

Since I posted this they’ve gone 2-7 and don’t even have the outright lead in their division anymore, let alone the entire league. Now on pace for a 101 wins, which ordinarily would still be outstanding, but there are four other teams on pace to match or outdo that.

Run differential is down to 29, which puts them way off the mark for that record breaking year, now projected to not even crack 200. Looking at past years, that still wouldn’t be bad, but in 2019 they were +273.
