Interesting... I like these. Would love to see the results of the mound move. And the DH rule.... seems a decent compromise.

    • White Sox’s Rodon throws a no-hitter against Cleveland in a 8-0 win. Had a perfect game through 8.1, but after the signature defensive stop that all perfect games have, with Abreu lunging to first to get the runner on a ground ball, he hit the next guy in the leg.

Since we're about to be raped with the Stoopid DH in the Real Baseball League, I would grudgingly allow it.

But thinking about it the PA will never go for it as it greatly reduces the earnings power for aging power hitters.

Nobody ever talks about the times when workplace harassment is a good thing. Sometimes a hostile work environment is people hinting that you're the problem...

First, thank you for the bolded section. That's good stuff. Sometimes it's hard as a small (?) business to give that kind of time off, though, I suspect it's actually cheaper in the long run to give her 2-4 hours now than lose 2 weeks later. Anyways, thumbs up.

Second, the underlined section would make me question her future at the company due to inability to use sound reasoning and good judgment.

There are eight teams with more runs than the Cubs have hits.

                        • Dodgers are 13-2 with a run differential of 41. That’s on pace to go 140-22 and a differential of 442.

                          • This season Jake deGrom has driven in more earned runs than he has allowed.

His ERA is 0.49 and his BA is .550.

(I mean, tortuga has an ERA of 0, but we'll keep this among qualified pitchers)

I assume at some point some guy had a zero ERA April with 4 or 5 starts. You don't even need a shutout streak, you can have teams drop a dozen unearned runs on you (Wednesday we gave up 7 unearned runs in one inning). I mean with his 0.49 ERA deGrom still managed to get one loss and one no decision.

I'm not saying it's inevitable, but I would not be surprised.

Among some of the other fun things deGrom did tonight:

+ retired the final 19, none hitting the ball hard
+ 15 K, career high (didn't K anybody in the final 2 innings) with no walks
                                + 50 K in first 4 starts of the season, all-time MLB record (breaks Ryan's 49)
+ Nearly threw his 100th pitch over 100 mph (if anybody else ever did this it's gotta be Ryan)
+ 2 hits including a double, 2 RBI, hit another hard liner right to the CF, got the final put out of the game on an acrobatic catch of a 3-1 ground out

It was pure fun. And we finally gave him run support so he could actually enjoy it.
