  • Serie Del Caribe 2010

For the baseball junkie set the Caribbean World Series has begun. The league champs of Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic are meeting in Venezuela. This is always a fun series to watch and is a nice way to get a baseball fix in February, before pitchers and catchers report. The Series is being shown on MLB Network, and can be found on Justin TV if you aren't fortunate to have that channel. After day three the standings look like this

    Dominican Republic 2-0
    Venezuela 1-1
    Mexico 1-2
    Puerto Rico 1-2

Dominican Republic and Venezuela are playing right now and it's 2-1 Venezuela heading to the eighth.

Ya, baseball is baseball, but there's such a cool atmosphere at these games you can't help but get caught up in it.

Dominican Republic scored two (one run was a controversial steal of home) to take the lead 3-2.

The Dominican Republic beat Venezuela tonight, and clinch El Serie Del Caribe 2010. With the win they go 5-1 for the tournament, one win better than Puerto Rico who beat Mexico today to go 4-2 and needed Venezuela to win tonight to force a one game playoff.

          Alright, let Spring Training begin!!!

If you are ever in Puerto Rico for winter ball, I'd jump at the chance to see a game. We do it every time we go down from X-Mas (every other year). It's pretty cool.

            Colad.... Pina.

Where else would you hear that over "beer here!"

And the baseball is quite good, too.
