On an update to a story discussed here awhile back, apparently South Dakota attorney general Jason Ravnsborg intends to enter into a plea agreement tomorrow in the case where he ran over the guy along the side of the road, left the scene, then later claimed he thought he hit a deer (even though the dead man's prescription glasses were on the front seat beside him).
Details of the plea were not disclosed today, but presumably will be tomorrow. However, as I recall, he was only charged with a misdemeanor, which was basically all he could be charged with under SD law.That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.Comment
