They're both vipers, but whereas DeSantis is a complete moron like Rubio, Scott is just a plute playing to the rubes as needed. Those two fck up his game and it really annoys him. Good. ;-)

    • Looks like Cuomo is up to seven women accusing him of sexual harassment or assault now, and Gillibrand is on board with him resigning. Let’s not look like hypocrites. Get his f-cking *** out of office, New Yorkers. Looks like polling overwhelmingly shows they don’t want him to resign, but they don’t want him running again either.

Yeah could be. I guess it’s possible that if he decides not to resign, and New York’s state legislature doesn’t convict him, he either won’t run for re-election, or he’ll lose badly in the Democratic primaries to someone other than Cynthia Nixon.

I, too, would be off the wagon if I had to live in Kansas.

                • Red states want to finance tax cuts

“A group of twenty one Republican state attorneys general sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen on Tuesday, demanding that she refuse to implement a provision in the American Rescue Plan which prohibits states from using $350 billion in stimulus on financing tax cuts.”

Unfreakingbelievable. Can we just put them all in Texas and say goodbye? Please. It can't happen soon enough.

Federalism means not having to say you're broke.

We need more federalism, not less. Stop having federal aid for anything. Make the states pay their own way. Let the blue states thrive without having to drag along the shiftless reds.

That's fine but you need to change the borrowing laws then. Cause states cannot run deficits. And if you let States run deficits, liberal states will manage their money fine. Mississippi will go bankrupt on tax cuts and then who pays the bankruptcy bill? I'd love it if we punished them but I seriously doubt that is what will happen.

I agree though. We need to stop privatizing the profits and socializing the losses. But, apparently your Red State voters don't get that. They love the socialism when they're roof collapses but hate it when their neighbors roof collapses.

States can run deficits if they change their laws/state constitutions to allow them. Many states have restricted themselves.

Cool. Thanks. I wasn't sure where that came from. It certainly appears that that allows Red States to just go begging to the Feds when they run into trouble. And if they were allowed to run them it would be interesting to see which states would keep fiscal sanity and which would not. I see Republicans across the country willing to go broke paying for tax cuts.
