Not State, but NYC (EMS) has released a new PSA: Steps people should take in event of nuclear attack.

Someone tell Mayor Adams there are less drastic ways to clean the city.

Ottawa County, for its problems, has an AAA credit rating because of competent and quiet leadership, even if some of them are conservative.

Ottawa Impact, a PAC upset about masks, CRT, DEI, etc, is running empty suit candidates who all have the same agenda: blow it all up as long as Ottawa no longer has a DEI department!

That result was so bizarre I would assume electoral fraud if there was the slightest evidence. It ran against everything going on in the state and all of its long term trends. A good lesson learned: you can never relax when fighting Nazis.

In some states (Colorado being one of them) you can be held civilly liable for the wrongful death of a viable fetus. Your scenario is not that far off, and will almost certainly happen in the crazy states.

I believe every state also makes double buckling illegal (and many have very strict restrictions for how children under a certain age/weight/size can be transported). Sorry pregnant women, you can't legally drive or ride in vehicles!

Depends if the driver speaks English as their first language.

I asked Amy O’Donnell, spokeswoman for Texas Alliance for Life, an anti-abortion group, what she thought of this unusual situation.

She replied, “While the penal code in Texas recognizes an unborn child as a person in our state, the Texas Transportation Code does not specify the same. And a child residing in a mother’s womb is not taking up an extra seat. And with only one occupant taking up a seat, the car did not meet the criteria needed to drive in that lane.”
