Very underrated member of that backfield.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

Weird that he's listed as a RB. I could have sworn they used him as a TE. It has been 47 years though and I was 10.

Csonka was the fullback, Morris the halfback, Kiick straddled both positions with his pass catching.

Yes I remember them obviously. But I remember Kiick catching key short passes over the middle on third down all year. I think I just assumed he was a TE.

Plus I don't remember him lining up in back, but that's REALLY stretching a kid's memories now.

You're probably right. I don't recall watching the '71 team. I went through an aqua-marine phase and I think that's why I picked them.
