Since you have the ability to read I think you know the answer to your disingenuous question.

For some reason I had it in my head he went to Dartmouth, but it turns out he got nowhere near the Ivy League (shocker). Clearly I misheard that, so mea culpa. Maybe I mixed him up with Dinesh D'Fraudza?

                      • This is an important way to frame the coming crisis of the 2022 midterm elections and the 2024 presidential one.

Every American, every corporation, the news media and the social platforms need to understand that there are no longer two functioning political parties in our country. Straddling between them is failing to understand our circumstances and the threat of an authoritarian movement that seeks to take power by any means. It’s time for all Americans to join this fight. Not one party over another. But all Americans against an authoritarian movement and its poison until it dies and another generation of Americans ensures that our democracy lives.
If we do not defeat the racists and the liars that are in complete control of what was once the republican party our democracy will cease to exist if Biden (or any Democrat) wins in 2024 but the racist/liar GQP party is in control of the congress. We're well on our way anyway, but the final nail will be the overturning of a properly run election and a properly elected president.

I no longer care about the people in this country who tell us we are all suffering still from TDS and our institutions will protect us. The only reason the insurrection on 1-6 failed was because we had already put into place a Democratic House, the Senate had no majority and Mike Pence may have actually believed he was going to be hanged. That margin is far too small for anyone to believe we are safe in the coming next couple of years. Our country is in the gravest of danger still.

The people who will do nothing are every bit as much the enemy as those who will lead the next attempted insurrection. We have to convince as many people that this is a real threat, and if our politics are to save us this is no longer a Democtatic versus republican battle, but one between democracy and fascism. The republican party is dead as anything other than a party of fascism and totalitarianism. Anyone who does not see that or believe that or is persuadable needs to be left behind or neutered.

Which is why I limit my "social media" intake to two places, this one and a school centric Notre Dame website. Facebook is pure evil. The nutcase in me also thinks it functions exactly how Mark Zuckerberg intended it to function.

Technology has always had the ability to help and to harm society. The speed at which it helps and (mostly) harms is forever growing more rapid too. The next big invention will probably be the last one humans get to enjoy/abuse. Whatever it is. Human arrogance is so ****ing stupid. It was an accident of the universe that killed the dinosaurs. We will almost certainly do ourselves in.
