          The basic social contract, written about by Locke, predates the constitution by like a hundred years. The framework of the constitution and really all societies is based on the concept of the social contract. This ducking g dogbrained ******* doesn't speak a single correct word in any of that unhinged rant. He's just wrong.

          (And I'm almost certain the social contract was written about or theorized even before Locke. 2nd treatise was just the book I always remember from my political philosophy class. I really liked that book but should probably revisit it now that it's been a decade. Nice short read.)

              There are references to a social contract in classical philosophy at least as old as Plato (in Republic and in the one where Socrates talks about why he won't run away, Apologia maybe?)

              So let's just say the social contract predates the Constitution, in print, by 2,200 years. I'll bet if you looked hard enough you'd find it in Chinese and Indian philosophy too.

                The Chief of Staff was involved in Insurrection. And the Justice Department has done literally nothing. They're better be something on the horizon for these clowns or it's just going to get worse.

                  Election security advocates sent a letter to federal investigators Monday urging them to probe a "coordinated plot" by former President Donald Trump's supporters to copy election software in Georgia, Michigan and Nevada after the 2020 election, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

                  The letter, which was addressed to special counsel Jack Smith, the FBI and the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency, asked Smith, who is investigating Trump's attempts to stay in power after losing the election, to also pursue the multistate data-copying effort as part of his probe.

                        Amazingly the Nazis who were going to kidnap and execute Whitmer got real time.

                        A judge on Thursday handed down the longest prison terms so far in the plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, sentencing three men who forged an early alliance with a leader of the scheme before the FBI broke it up in 2020. Pete Musico was sentenced to a minimum of 12 years in prison, followed by his son-in-law Joe Morrison at 10 years and Paul Bellar at seven.

                        They did not have a direct role in the conspiracy but were members of a paramilitary group that trained with Adam Fox, who faces a possible life sentence in a separate case in federal court.

                        Morrison, Musico and Bellar will be eligible for parole after serving their terms.

                        The trio was convicted in October of providing material support for a terrorist act, which carries a maximum term of 20 years, and two other crimes.
