          • Man does mookie love Bangkok. A mess of a city, but it works. Really want the next job here. Getting girl & daughter to commit is gonna require a heckuva trick…

Love Chiang Mai and it's on our itinerary for our EOY visit.

I love Bangkok and we have property there (as well as Rayong) but for sustained visits I think Chiang Mai, Rayong, Hua Hin, Kanchanaburi or others would be an easier sell unless someone really loves big city life.

We just booked 4 nights on Borocay Island here next month. The resort my better half chose (Movenpik?) looks spectacular.

I just read there may be a Formula E race through the streets of Chiang Mai next year.

Wow, such a fun city. Night markets, best food I’ve had in my life. Just all around good vibe

                    • Yah, chiang mai is cool…but that’s like comparing Iowa city to manhattan. One has to prefer big city life and that’s mookie. Growing up in western pa and wanted to escape from the start plays into that

I would also truly appreciate it if you have some hotel/restaurant/bar recommendations in Rome.

                        • 11 days in Spain in October. Flying in and out of Madrid. Going to be focusing on Madrid, Sevilla, and Grenada. We already did a quick trip in Barcelona during an earlier trip, and while we still have lots to see there we didn't want to spread this trip too thin. And we plan to do Basque country later, same idea, want to focus on a few places rather than spread too thin. Since we fly in/out of Madrid, figure we'll do some Madrid at the beginning and some at the end, and then a few days in Sevilla and then a few days in Granada in between. A day trip to Toledo from Madrid and a day trip to Cordoba from Sevilla; though some people say it's worth to do a night in Toledo, but I also want to minimize hotel changes, so I've found from other trips that day trips help there.

                          • Anyone have recommendations for Nashville in late October? My wife and I have a friend who's been nominated for a Josie Award, so we're going to support her and also to see the Grand Ole Opry, where the award ceremony will take place. We're staying afterward for a total of 5 days, so we'll need other things to do. I'm generally aware of the most popular neighborhoods, activities, and attractions, so I'm hoping more for recommendations that tourists tend to overlook. We will not have a rental car and will simply use rideshares to get around.
