  • Pato O’Ward with the win last night. O’Ward (7 wins) and Herta (8) are the future of INDYCAR.

crowd was maybe 18,000. Nothing like it was when the ran the week after INDY at noon and they were sold-out.

no scoring pylon, no announcements as to drivers hometowns during introductions (don’t they want people to build connections to the drivers?) no cross-over promotions with summerfest, irishfest, festa, state fair, brewers and badgers. No wonder crowds are small.

jesus Christ I can run marketing for free 100x better than Mark Miles’s team.

also…no race in Mexico City when your most popular driver is Mexican? How dumb is INDYCAR? Seriously. Zak Brown has to be ****ed at their ineptitude. Now NASCAR taxi cabs are going to Mexico City and Pato will be in that race!!!

As for F1…damn that start reminded me of the 80’s! Great stuff!! Go McLaren.

side note: I wore my Senna t-Shirt yesterday at the race. One guy there stopped me and said Senna was the best ever and said he’s visited Impala this year on the 30tg anniversary and was moved to tears.

Everything in its right place, Wisconsin Hockey National Champs!

"but you're not as confused as him are you. it's not your job to be as confused as Nigel". Tap pt 1.

"I think it's ****ing stock. What--? Which part of that is unclear to you? I think it sounds stock to my ears. I mean, do you want me to write it down?" Tap Pt. 2

    Who???! So What!!!! Big Deal!!!!

      • So qualifying today sure justified replacing Logan Sargant. It's kind of too bad we won't see Colopinto in an F1 car next season.

And the other big news since the last post is Adrian Newey signing with Aston Martin. While I think it's great that he's going to a opportunity team, I also think it's time to pull the plug on Lance Stroll- so IMHO, Newey's effort is wasted on him.

How come? P6 in Q1 looked pretty cool. Is Bearman getting KMag's seat?

Yes on the latter, but Carlos Sainz is taking the 2nd Williams seat. Capito stays in the Williams program, though.

I listen to the ESPN F1 podcast, and their reporters are very connected. One of them said he was talking to someone high up on Aston Martin. The basic gist is people do not realize how all in Lawrence is with his son. To the point where no one on the team can criticize Lance whatsoever if they ever expect to keep their job (just listen to the way Alonso talks about Lance, something Fernando has never done with an inferior teammate; also the way the team handled the Lance pushes his trainer situation, when it was an obvious violent shove, tells you everything you need to know how Lance is treated because of his father). The reporter said unless Lance himself wants to give it up, there is no way in any shape or form, Lance losses that drive. No way. Not even Newey will be able to do anything about that.

Kinda what I've figured over the years. Alonso is willing to suck up to a loser if he has a real chance at another championship.

                • That was one of the best races, ever.

Piastri is going to have a pretty amazing career- he held of LeClerc so well so many times- holy cow. And they were really struggling given how Sainz closed on the 3 leaders. Amazing.

It's too bad that Carlos made a lunge to pass Charles going into 2, or there would not have been a way for Perez to get up to him and have that collision- I really wanted both Ferrari and McLaren make huge points strides on RBR. But Charles did get a lot more than Max, at least. And McLaren- great strategy for Lando on top on how they won- recovering from 17th to finish ahead of Max on pure pace.

Double points for Williams, and points for Colopinto on his second race. As well as Bearman getting points.

                  • It was so much fun. I've only been watching for 2.1 seasons but it was the best race I have seen.

If Newey makes Aston Martin a great car, Lawrence is going to have fun when every race Alonso is P1-3 and Lance is P6-8 or DNF.

How long until he's a sideline man for Crofty?

Such a great see-ya gift, DFL so you can put soft tires on to protect your not really teammate. Weaksauce by Red Bull.

Also, why are all the drivers from Australia Italians?

Yes. I read that Vowles is trying to get him the second Audi seat.

Williams is not a sh*tbox anymore. Just look at their performance the past three races. Arguably, they are close to being the best of the rest. Their new upgrades, the first one which Sargeant destroyed, are working very well.
