"[To self:] Next time, Jack, write a goddamn memo."

It's an all time classic line.

      It is.

Great movie. Clancy is...what he is. But HfRO is a top notch thriller. It's so good it could have been made in the 50s.

Redneck Spider-Man is not for everyone.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

I thought Garfield nailed the Spidey character, but his movies weren’t great. The first was okay, mostly because of Garfield, but number 2 was just something I know I watched but couldn’t tell you anything about it anymore.

Check out Lust In The Dust and Polyester on TCM starting at 2:30am. A member of John Waters' acting troupe the Dreamlanders these 2 movies were made before Harris Glenn Milstead hit the big-time in Hairspray and died shortly after it's release of a heart attack at the age of 42.

Both of these movies are brilliant.

An OK popcorn movie; very pulpy. A little bit of a self-parody at times. The lead character is a textbook Mary Sue.

                            • The Power of the Dog

Obvious Oscar bait Western that tackles the topics of toxic masculinity, bullying, frontier "toughness", homosexuality in the 1920s, and, arguably, how someone potentially becomes a serial killer. The ending isn't a big punch in the face, but rather leaves the audience to piece together the foreshadowing hints throughout.
