He was okay as Baker. He just drew Emily Blunt as Baker's Wife and nobody could survive that.

      • His House. African refugees placed in housing in England. Then, um, things happen.

        Brilliant horror movie. Very upsetting.

          • George Clooney has come out and said what happened on the Rust set is completely insane and he's never seen anything like it on any set he has ever been on. One needs to ask why such supposedly smart people do such stupid things.

              Actors?

Like athletes, models, and the wealthy, they've been advanced into public on characteristics that don't involve intelligence, so they are an exact sample of the gen pop.

In other words, they are ****ing morons.

The smart people are the people behind the scenes. The ones that prevent actors from firing live guns at people. Most of them are also smart enough to realize the Republican Party is ****ing insane.

                • I don't have any dog in the fight but I doubt your average actor is measurably less intelligent than the gen pop.

Actresses maybe -- the pretty, like people who were born rich, tend to be stupider than average since they have never had to exert themselves to get what they want -- they have had no reason to develop curiosity or intellect. Actors are probably an exact representative sample, which is why they seem so shockingly stupid. Remember what Carlin said.

                        Solid A!

If you have any sort of positive connection to the original iteration of this franchise, go see this movie. It's a perfect blend of nostalgia, fan service, and a compelling plot. Lots of the "retro" style movies as of late play the nostalgia card just to show you that they are aware of the impact of the original, but this movie fully integrates those points into the story. And those story points absolutely pay off with a strong case of "the feels". You care about the characters and their motivations.

This is the rare case where the movie being delayed absolutely made the experience more worth it. I don't think this movie would have the same impact it did if it was released on schedule. Bravo Sony for getting this one right...

It's OK. It's overwrought but... that makes money.

The previews make it look like Jim Henson's Ghost Buster Muppet Babies. If you can assure me it's not a Spielsberg-like young adult version I will go see it. I do crave seeing an army of sociopathic Stay Puffs. I LOVE the original.

But don't **** with me, man. If this turns out to be the Harry Potter Hunger Games, I'm coming for you.
