Godfather is another good choice, although there's only one scene that I must watch (the hospital scene, which is the best in the movie and the only scene Al Pacino has ever done post-1975 up to the level of Dog Day Afternoon).

Not on principle; just hasn't happened. That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

The two guys are great. And the scene with the girl at the crime scene is amazing. I want to reach through the screen and help her.
I would like to see a version of L&L told strictly from their perspective. It would be an interesting experiment. Stewart's performance in Rope comes the closest, but it still takes the easy way out on the philosophy. I'd like to see it done with absolutely no short cuts. It's an even more scary story then.Cornell University

I haven't seen DDA in about 3 years, it's time. I can't watch it more frequently than that. There isn't a single second where you can relax. It's the 100 meters of movies.
