I didn't just find it I saw it the year it came out, and I'm not salty I'm poking at his failed snark.

        • Another big victory for Rhonda Santis and the MAGA crowd as Disney's The Little Mermaid remake only scored the 5th-largest Memorial Day opening weekend in history.

          • And from all accounts was rather mediocre...like all of their cash grab live action remakes. I will find it impressive if it holds against Spiderverse.

Just because Di$ney is fighting against DeSaster doesn't mean they aren't in fact EvilCorp. They are the enemy, they are just a less fascist one.

The camp of The Exorcist meets the no-budget/no-name production value of The Room?

                        • ACROSS THE SPIDERVERSE: A+

On the technical side, it's hands down the most beautifully animated movie I've ever seen. Each universe within the multiverse has its own style. Because of this, you see characters drawn in several styles over the course of the film. It's also key to the ascetic. With Spider-Gwen, there are key scenes where the background is drawn in a water-color style. And the colors used change throughout and directly reflect the emotions in play at that particular moment. See it on the biggest screen possible.

Story: This is hard to say without spoilers... Just know that it takes stuff that was laid out in the original movie and builds upon that. Characters go through arcs that are both contained within this movie, but also form a larger narrative when combined with Part 1 and set the table for Part 3. I know they still have to stick the landing with Part 3, but Part 1 and 2, narratively speaking, are like Start Wars and Empire. This is how you sequel.

Go see this movie and appreciate it!
It's never too early to start the Pre-game festivities

                          Go Cats!!! GO BLACKHAWKS!

Cuck the Fubs... Let's Go WHITE SOX!!!

Over the past several days I watched Come and See (1985), Quest for Fire (1981), Andrei Rublev (1966) and Ran (Kurosawa, 1985). Very pleased with all of them for very different reasons, but they're definitely not popcorn flicks.
