The Big Bang Theory (shut up snobs!) did an episode where they all slowly realize that nothing Indiana Jones did had any consequence in Raiders so he was rather worthless. If he had never shown up either they never find the Ark or they do, they open it and all the Nazis die anyways. He literally is just there to guide us to watch the inevitable.

        That was pretty funny.

Didn’t selleck share with letterman that he did soft porn while paying the bills as a young actor?

That would have been horrible. Try to picture his hammy gaze of steel making Indy's wisecracks.

Yeah. It's always next to impossible to imagine somebody else in an iconic role. But some are obviously terrible. Another: Reagan as Rick in Casablanca.

One I think that would have be interesting: Bill Murray as Boon in Animal House. I'm glad how it turned out but I could see it going in a different direction with him.

Chevy Chase OTOH would have been terrible. God bless John Landis.

                  That was the funniest episode.

Also, I believe Tom Selleck was offered the role but had just signed his Magnum PI contract and couldn't get out of it.

And to give us one of the best epilogue/ credit transition scenes ever put to film.

Rewatched Joker tonight, since when I first saw it in theaters, I was unaware of any of the theories about what was real and what wasn't real (this was done on purpose, I went in blind).

That is even more of a mindf* of a movie when you really dissect it. You have:
                        1. Some parts are for sure real
                        2. Some parts are definitely not real
                        3. Some parts are plausible
                        4. Some parts are possible
                        5. Nothing was real, except the very ending
                        6. And the bonus...maybe Arthur isn't the real Joker, although he did some of the things in the movie
Never really developed a taste for tequila. Kind of hard to understand how you make a drink out of something that sharp, inhospitable. Now, bourbon is easy to understand.

                            It's just so...man.

That's why I love it, because there are so many directions. Thinking about it, there are things that definitely didn't happen, no matter what. And there are things that definitely did happen no matter what. The issue is, those gray areas. Where's the line? And so the discussion begins.

I'm gonna file this under "need to buy at some point" because as you said, it changes each time I watch it.
