What's the order of the Nolan Batman films so I can understand DKR in context?

It's the third. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises.
Hell, even if you get it in context, there's way too much shoved in DKR haphazardly that it won't help.

Thor…I loved it, it’s funny, Natalie Portman was great as was Russel Crowe and Christian Bale. A good fun ride.
As to a larger story I agree I don’t see or feel a build-up happening with the current releases.
the one drawback imo and this is minor, I’m just sick and tired of movies that use the same 5-6 bands for soundtracks. Guns N’ Roses in particular is a lame choice.
it’s too easy. People will love these movies without Gn’R or Black Sabbath (Iron Man) but this is lazy and these songs are so overplayed.
I would propose the following for Iron Man for instance
Everything in its right place, Wisconsin Hockey National Champs!
"but you're not as confused as him are you. it's not your job to be as confused as Nigel". Tap pt 1.
"I think it's ****ing stock. What--? Which part of that is unclear to you? I think it sounds stock to my ears. I mean, do you want me to write it down?" Tap Pt. 2
Does Natalie Portman act like she wants to be in this one? Because everything from the previews looks great to me other than having to watch her half-*** her way through another one like she did the first two.

Man Thor is sparking some serious discussion and controversy. It seems that VFX artists are lashing out at Di$ney for their crap pay and awful deadlines in the wake of some criticisms for the last few Marvel outputs. (film and TV) The fire had gasoline thrown on it when the director of Thor was in a tweet by Vanity Fair poking fun at the bad effects (which to me seemed to be him taking it on the chin not ripping them but still) which has set some people off, especially those close to VFX.
This has been brewing for a while but was always kind of ignored because Marvel was a behemoth and Di$ney has a lot of influence and power in the industry. The first time people beyond just randos on Twitter started openly talking about it though was in and around Black Widow and Eternals. Directors/production people started to openly talk about the process of making the films "you (the director) handle the story and we (Di$ney) will deal with the action pieces which we have mapped out no matter what you plan to do" and the rumor was Chloe Zhao on Eternals was quite upset over it.
As someone with no skin in the game it is interesting to watch

Well she’s not Black Swan great or even Heat great here but it’s miles above her wooden garbage in the Star Wars prequels.

Her part when she was outside talking to Timothy Hutton in (Singles?) was outstanding.
Beautiful Girls...and that storyline is beyond creepy and was even back then. (good film though)
Matt Dillon was in both Singles and Beautiful Girls so you were close :^)

So was one of the scenes in The Professional tbh. We watched it the other day coincidentally with one of my sons. First time in a very long time and he and I kind of looked at each other while it was happening.
