I don't care...I friggin enjoyed the hell out of Matrix: Resurrections! I would not put it on par with the first one, but I like it as much as #2 and way more than #3. I like the new characters, the new Matrix, the explanation for why they exist and the new world post war with the machines. I also enjoyed the meta nature to the story even if it did kind of beat you over the head with it. This is definitely a story that lives in this time much like the original works for that time. It definitely mocks the nature of humanity in the current world...even things like Q could be washed up in the story.
I would say 3.5-4/5."It's as if the Drumpf Administration is made up of the worst and unfunny parts of the Cleveland Browns, Washington Generals, and the alien Mon-Stars from Space Jam."

I had to watch, and vocally laud, the latter two categories because I had a tween daughter at the time and I love her more than myself. I suffered so that you might live, mookie.

IIRC when they did the third movie they named it Highlander 2, again, and adjured the existence of the prior second one.Cornell University

Highlander II: The Quickening (1991)
Highlander III: The Sorcerer (1995) [or Highlander: The Final Dimension]
Highlander: Endgame (2000)
Highlander: The Source (2007)
I only ever saw the first 2. The rest don't exist as far as I am concerned.Last edited by JF_Gophers; 12-28-2021, 11:06 AM.PSNetwork / XBOX GamerTag: xJeris

Was the Quickening the sun shield crap? And which one was the alien crap?
The first one is John Wick level stupid-good, so the detritus that followed was severely disappointing, like the Bladerunner sequel.
The series was haus frau porn but it was actually okay. Except they never had flashbacks to interesting times or places -- they missed opportunities. Whatsisname was a hoot, though. He seemed to revile every moment playing the role.
