Who built the throne room? Do the Kongs understand the finer points of Gothic architecture. Not a complaint, mind you, this is what I wanted from these movies.

THE SUICIDE SQUAD - A+
James Gunn was absolutely the right choice for this movie. It's basically a re-do of the 2016 film and does everything that the original should have done. Gunn makes you feel something for every character on screen and that's quite an accomplishment given the size of the cast and the amount of screen time some cast members are given.
Also have to give Gunn props to taking full advantage of the R-rating here. Nothing was over the top or obnoxious, but he was able to capture the tone that surrounds group of characters in the source material. That was something that was severely lacking in the 2016 version.It's never too early to start the Pre-game festivities

The Suicide Squad - I'd give a strong B, maybe an A-. The first 10-15 minutes made me think it wasn't going to be any better than the original, but it picked up steam and aside from a few hiccups was very good through the end. My enjoyment may or may not have been directly attributed to not having to see Pete Davidson on screen again following the prison flashback scene.Comment
