Nah, college system has the right idea with even possessions, but starting at the opponents 25 yard line is getting into shootout territory.

They should do what they've done here, but go further and guarantee equal possessions until someone wins. But with real kickoffs and punts and turnovers and so forth.

For RS, yeah, go with ties if you want. Nothing wrong with ties.

        • New stadium in Buffalo?
          https://gothamist.com/news/ny-taxpay...ls-new-stadium

Under the deal, New York state would pick up $600 million of construction costs, with Erie County kicking in $250 million. The Bills, which are owned by the billionaire Pegula family, and the NFL would pick up the final $550 million and sign a 30-year lease to use the stadium, according to Hochul’s office.
Public-private partnership is one of the most appauling developments in my lifetime.

How does this connect the location of the ball to the moment when part of the runner's body other than their hand or foot hits the ground? I have yet to see that question answered.

That's still up to the refs I'd imagine.

I assume when the refs make the final placement of the ball, at that point they check electronically to see if there is a first down.

                          • I guess I never thought of it that way... That it just measures the ball as it sits after it's spotted...

Because they were referencing the tennis system, I was thinking it would be more dynamic...
