Nowadays, one easy DNA test will prove or disprove this. So, either she is really sure or is colossally stupid.

When people set out to break Favre's records, I didn't think they were gonna go for un-retirements too.

Why should the NFL look into betting on something that is so off the field of play??? That article just points out how stupid it is that all professional sports have betting so integrated into them. Seriously- there's money being made on the idea if a person comes out of retirement??? And there's concern over insider trading?

Nothing should be done. Of course someone had inside information. Vegas sportsbooks have operated off of inside information from the beginning. It's not illegal, it's due diligence.

No one insisted that the books set the Super Bowl prop bets in February. You think they are going to refund the bet to someone who bets on Green Bay to win the Super Bowl, only to see Rodgers retire or go somewhere else?

Heck, a couple of years ago I made nice money betting that Tampa would win the Super Bowl at about 35-1, on the outside chance that Tampa would get Brady. I made the same bet on San Diego that year, and that paid squat, but I didn't see any refunds coming my way.

The books can do what they've always had the right to do. Refuse to take bets from people they thing are sharps.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.
