            • Pittsburgh started this season 11-0. Since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Steelers are the 11th team to start as such. All of the previous such teams either: (a) won the Super Bowl; or (b) lost to the team that won the Super Bowl:

1972 Dolphins - Won Super Bowl (finished season undefeated)
1984 Dolphins - Lost to San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl
1985 Bears - Won Super Bowl
1991 Washington - Won Super Bowl
1998 Broncos - Won Super Bowl
2007 Patriots - Lost to New York Giants in Super Bowl
2009 Saints - Won Super Bowl
2009 Colts - Lost to New Orleans Saints in Super Bowl
2011 Packers - Lost to New York Giants, who went on to win Super Bowl
2015 Panthers - Lost to Denver Broncos in Super Bowl
2020 Steelers - ??? (currently losing to Cleveland Browns, but may be in the process of engineering an amazing comeback).

Agreed. The Steelers had all the momentum. They punted on 4th and 1 at midfield. I get the argument made about their defense had been playing so well, but, at least to me, that actually weighs in favor of going for it. Browns go down and score to potentially put this game out of reach.

                            • Jared Veldheer may make NFL history on Saturday. He started at left tackle for the Indianapolis Colts in their loss to Buffalo this past weekend, but apparently was not elevated to their 53-man roster (not sure how that works) and was still considered to be on their practice squad. Today, Green Bay signed Veldheer from Indy's practice squad, and he will likely become the first player in NFL history to play two playoff games for two different teams in the same season.

Here's to hoping that Veldheer becomes the first player in NFL history to go 0-2 in the NFL playoffs in one season. : - )

                              • So I wonder if COIVD will change how teams work during the week, much like how many businesses are finding out how effective people can be working from home.

One of the leading talking points all week was how the Browns had to shut down the practice facility, and whatnot due to Covid. And most expected them to suck Sunday night. But it was quite the opposite.

And I may be remembering this wrong, but it sure seemed that the teams who could not practice during a week (or two) actually played better.

Who will be the first coaching staff to pick up on that and very much change the practice schedule during the season.
