      Perhaps...although it will be awhile (2031 at the earliest I believe).

      Also, the NFL didn't formalize the 12 game Regular Season until the mid-1930s. Prior to then, it was a free-for-all. Heck, some teams even played 20 () regular season games.

        Although if you look at those games they played semi-pro opponents and even high schools!

        Of course, they also played every down.

          Yeah, it was pretty unregulated early on, which was even crazier considering that the champion was awarded to the team with the best winning percentage.

            Incentive to keep playing more then.... against dodgy opponents one can slap around

              The ORIGINAL Stanley Cup was a challenge playoff...basically a "we dare you." Just saying.

                    The Creamsicle Dream will have to wait, but the Bucs debuting the old is new again jersey set gives a much nicer design. The Pewter Color Rush looks really nice, imo.

                      Poor Vince McMahon. In 2001 the league sucked and failed. In 2020, there were some good innovations, but COVID-19 caused the league to suspend operations. Don’t know if league will be back.

                        It doesn't sound very promising that they'll be back from a couple of the things I've read.

                        Somehow the UFL lasted longer than either with far less publicity. Though it's hard to fault the XFL this time around.
