Man, the NFL is really stinking badly these days.
And its ratings are through the roof. They will laugh all the way to the bank when this is all over...

Exactly. No one is going to kill the golden goose. (gambling)

Actually the casinos would be ticked off more than anyone over organized tanking it affects their bottom line. People won't bet if things start to seem illegitimate or the casinos will have to set the spreads in ways to incentivize those bets. They want volume and if people smell a rat they will stay away.

This isn't being brought up on ESPN since they have a lot of gambling sponsors. Perfect for Disney.
I don’t think it’ll be brought up anywhere because every network has a gambling partner now. Every network has a gambling show. And just about every network posts the line and current odds now.

Joking aside, the teams that actually have nicknames are good fits.
    You forgot “City”.

Granted, some of the “FC” teams do have nicknames. Toronto is the “Reds”, Orlando is the “Lions”, NYCFC is the “Pigeons”.

    Warren Jeffs.

I actually like "Real" for a Western team because of Camino Real, the royal road from the Spanish colonial period. I don't think it went through Utah, though.

Likewise, FC is a great pun.

MLS is lame, but that's not why it's lame.
