Also I didn't say he was all-World but the fact is they've ****ed so many playoff games down their leg since their last SB it's a joke including 6 NFCCGs.
Don't get me wrong. I loved Tommy Kramer. He was one of my Vikings' heroes growing up (along with Darrin Nelson, Leo Lewis, Anthony Carter, Joey Browner, Carl Lee, and Chris Doleman).

That being said, my original post referenced "historically great" quarterback play. I read that as Hall of Famers. Tommy Kramer had some great moments, and certainly has sentimental greatness (I still have my youth Vikings uniform costume with the #9 jersey around somewhere). He was not historically great.

Also, I don't disagree with your statement about blowing playoff games. No franchise has lost more playoff games (30) than the Vikings. Yet, I love them so. ; )

And now the Giants are on that list.

At least for them, we already know they are going to get whatever is left- since they have stated they will hire a GM first, and then the GM will hire a coach. At least that should help them narrow the choices by elimination, I suppose.

They hired their interim guy anyway. If the Raiders were doing that they would’ve announced by now. Pretty sure they’re holding out for Harbaugh.

So they can go from one overrated coach to another overrated coach?

I don't have a problem with Samuel. Yeah, he had 220 less receiving yards and four less receiving touchdowns than JJ, but the rushing dynamic that Samuel brought to SF was pretty dramatic for them. He had another 8 touchdowns rushing, and 365 yards. I'm pretty sure it was that component that put him ahead of people like JJ and Chase.
That community is already in the process of dissolution where each man begins to eye his neighbor as a possible enemy, where non-conformity with the accepted creed, political as well as religious, is a mark of disaffection; where denunciation, without specification or backing, takes the place of evidence; where orthodoxy chokes freedom of dissent; where faith in the eventual supremacy of reason has become so timid that we dare not enter our convictions in the open lists, to win or lose.

                              • This is the most interesting first round of the NFL playoffs I can remember. Even with every team I have the least interest in (Seattle, Jets, Miami) out, there are still a majority of matchups I will watch and care about:

                                OAK
CIN ... I don't care, they will always be Oakland.

                                NE
                                BUF ... F I N I S H . T H E M !

                                PHI
TB ... No interest. Two incredibly boring teams.

                                SF
                                DAL ... Classic rivalry.

                                PIT
KC ... Another great matchup and a chance to see Rapey go out on a slab.

                                AZ
                                LA ... Zzzzzzzzzzzz.
