Great job to the 10 Democrats who voted *against* the Wyden-Daines amendment that would have prohibited FBI warrantless surveillance of web browser history. Special shout out to Bernie Sanders who didn’t show up to vote. It was defeated by *one* vote.

See, he specified "blue" states. So the Red states can continue receiving socialist aid from the governement. It's just bad when the socialists want socialsim.

The blue states want their tax dollars back then. And, oh, when another hurricane hits Florida, you can kiss that disaster aid good bye. We’ll find another swing state to help.

Just open and be done with it. Let the deaths pile up.

I was never a fan of the 2001 Patriot Act. I have long felt that it was too much overreach with poorly thought out rules. Parts were allowed to sunset, and I mostly forgot about it during the later W era, and while hoping that it would die under Obama, it was largely forgotten.
Despite it's potential for nefarious use, nothing noteworthy ever seemed to come about because of it. Or at least, nothing was reported. Out of sight, out of mind.
And now, Moscow Mitch is making it way easier for real life The Man in High Castle's Herbert Hoover (Barr) to monitor dissenting citizens? That TV series was NOT to be used as a goddamed road map.

Sen. Mitch McConnell will expressly permit the FBI to warrantlessly collect records on Americans’ web browsing and search histories via an amendment to the PATRIOT Act, which will be renewed in a vote this week https://t.co/th1RtNEzNR
