Are absentee ballots allowed to be counted before election day? Or do they have to wait until day of/after election day to start counting?

According to Kos the Louisville and Lexington counties have both announced they won't release results until June 30 in order to count absentees.

No better with 54% of precincts in. Now, I realize the city of Louisville had 1 polling place. Nice job, KY GOP.

    This is a shock:

    Code:
NY-17: D+13 rich suburban district; open seat

    12% reporting

40.0 Jones (black, gay, endorsed by AOC)
    28.5 Schleifer (millioniare, former prosecutor)
    19.4 Carlucci (former Republican)
If I were Pelosi and Schumer I would start making kissy kissy with Antifadems right now.

    Getting interesting in NY-16:

    Code:
NY-16; winner will be unopposed in general

    19% reporting

    61.2 Bowman (liberal, black)
36.2 Engel (30-year incumbent, centrist, corrupt)
This was a proxy fight between Biden, Schumer, Cuomo, Gillibrand, and the Clintons (Engel) vs Warren and Sanders (Bowman). The DNC sunk a lot into stopping Bowman. The Machine doesn't want another AOC.

NY-15: Ritchie Torres is winning the Dem nomination and would be the first openly gay black man in Congress.

There are 15 candidates on the ballot.

    Code:
    NY-15; winner will be unopposed

    68% reporting

    31.1 Torres (liberal, black, gay)
18.2 Blake (black, pal of Obama, I gotta say d-mn fine looking)
15.0 Diaz (Hispanic, anti-choice, pro-Dump, Pentecostal minister, insane)

The Republican attempt to primary AOC with a hoax Dem is doing really well so far:

    Code:
NY-14; winner will be > D+60 in the general

    <1% reporting

    72.8 Ocasio-Cortez (liberal, incumbent)
19.8 Caruso-Cabrera (Republican until this year, Trojan horse)

Early results in the bellwether primaries:

    Code:
KY Senate; winner will face McConnell

    50% reporting

    45.0 McGrath (establishment, marine, woman)
    36.0 Booker (liberal, black)

NY-16; winner will be unopposed in general

    <1% reporting

    61.8 Bowman (liberal, black)
35.6 Engel (30-year incumbent, centrist, corrupt)

Yikes. NC-11, Mark Meadows' old seat, had a candidate in the GOP primary endorsed by Meadows, Cruz, the Freedumb Caucus, and Dump.

She was just beaten by a 24-year old kid.

Now, the kid is also an evil as-shat (he's an NC Republican; you expected an intellectual?) but that really tells you the impotence of the Republican establishment right now.
