    Beautiful.

    • T.Rex - Mambo Sun. This song is awesome but I think even Ashley Simpson could lip sync better. =^P

btw for those of you with a paid Spotify account if you're wondering how to discover "new" music as in new releases or just new to you, the Discover Weekly and Release Radar playlists have been goldmines for me.

Create a T Rex station on Pandora and set it to Artist Only. They did a huge number of obscure songs that are amazing.

And you lay off ratface. It was acid reflux!

They come in bunches. It's not mutually exclusive.

                  • I've been without my antidepressant for a few weeks (F U, primary care office), and tonight, the words of Big Empty are ringing awfully true:

                    "Time to take her home
Her dizzy head is conscience laden
                    Time to take a ride
                    It leaves today, no conversations.."

And while I'm at it, while I've been listening to Soundgarden, STP, Audioslave, and Alice In Chains today, Spotify recommends Mad Season and Mother Love Bone. What do you know about them?

                    • Mad Season had promise as a side project, but Layne couldn't stay clean.

Mother Love Bone is a YMMV band. Their sound and style were more glam than grunge, because Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard were hell-bent on succeeding no matter what, and Andrew Wood was the best showman in Seattle at the time. I am a big fan of "Clohe Dancer / Crown of Thorns" and "Mindshaker Meltdown".

                      • Mad Season was put together when Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) met bassist John Saunders at rehab. When they got out they recruited the drummer from The Screaming Trees, and then they collectively brought Layne Staley in to help the three addicts beat their addictions together.

We know how Layne's story ended, but sadly John Saunders overdosed and died in 1999 as well.

                              • Sponge at least tried to be interesting. 7M3 just sharted out a poor person's version of Pearl Jam in the same way Bush sharted out the debut album that the studio suits would've killed to have been Nirvana's third album instead of In Utero.
