Rise Against played the Alaska State Fair (I didn’t know they were playing until well after I could afford tickets) and, predictably, they have PO’d some of the snowflake righties.

I never got into the Dead and never had the opportunity to see The Allman Brothers. As such, I didn't get into the jam band scene very much. I fixed that problem last week with a vengeance.

Started off the week seeing Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. This was followed by Umphrey's McGee and then The Disco Biscuits. I think I preferred the Pigeons overall but was blown away by the serious musicianship in all three bands.

**** yeah! FINALLY! Eric Avery has rejoined Jane’s Addiction and based on picture he posted they’re writing new material. Maybe we’ll get a 3rd LP from the original line-up?!?!
