Yeah the variety of styles I listen to now compared to when I was a teenager or even in college is quite different. I found a site that allows you to dl some of your playlists from Spotify to Excel. Unfortunately it won't do it for favorites such as artists, songs or albums. But it did allow me to dl a playlist I created of full albums. This isn't up to date but I didn't feel like going through the steps again. This list is pretty comprehensive but is missing quite a bit because I stopped adding to it and just listen to favorited albums instead.

My god, it is great to just watch pure rock and roll with no bullsh-t.

            • King Crimson with a killer version of Bowie's "Heroes" performed very appropriately in Berlin.

40th anniversary. I was 14 when the original came out, so this song has pretty much spanned my entire aesthetically aware life.

The story of how Fripp and Eno created his guitar part using overlaid feedback loops is legendary.

This is a solid vlog about it, and The Professor of Rock also tells the story of "Heroes".

Bowie has to be one of the most humble and unassuming people of his stature that's ever graced us with their greatness. He is sorely missed.

                  • I guess Raw Power got digitally remastered (again) earlier this year, since it's the 50th anniversary year. Listening to it now. I have it on vinyl though, which is still the best medium for old albums.

Like a dog lying in a corner
They will bite you and never warn you
Look out, they'll tear your insides out
                        'Cause everybody hates a tourist
Especially one who, who thinks it's all such a laugh
Yeah, and the chip stain's and grease will come out in the bath
                        You will never understand
How it feels to live your life
                        With no meaning or control
And with nowhere left to go
You are amazed that they exist
And they burn so bright whilst you can only wonder why
